I.Ideologi
a. Pengerian Ideology
Ideology comes from the word "edios" from the Greek or "ideas" from the Latin which means understanding, ideas, ideas and logy derived from the Greek word "logos" yangberarti science, teaching. So ideology is a science of ideas or knowledge about an idea or a so-called science of ideas (Heru Santoso et al, 2002 p 51). According to Elly M Setiadi (2005:167) general ideology adlah a collection of thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and beliefs that direct systematic behavior in various areas of belief that are systematically that directs a person's behavior in a variety of areas of life, such as political fields, including legal, defense and security, social, cultural and religious.
b. Role of Ideology
According to Jacques and Paul Ricour Ellui cited by Heru Santoso et al in a series of Pancasila Education (2002:53) has the role of ideology as follows
1. In response to the need for the image or identity of a social group, community, organization or nation.
2. Bridging between the founding fathers and the next generation
3. Added confidence in the truth of struggle groups adhering to this ideology
4. A conviction of the founders of the master, affecting all social activities
c. Power of Ideology
According Alfian (1991:192), the power of ideology depends on the quality of the existing three-dimensional on the ideology that
1. Dimensional reality, which is that the basic values in the ideology tekandung in real life in and derived from the culture and history of the community or nation experiences
2. Dimension idealism, namely that the basic values of ideology contains idealism that gave hope of a better future through experience in the practice of everyday life with
3. Flexibility dimensions ideology has flexibility that enables and stimulates without eliminating or mengiingkari identity embodied in basic values.
d. The characteristics of the state ideology
State ideology has the following characteristics
1. Having a high degree of pride and value of life as a state.
2. Embody a principle of spiritual worldview, a way of life that must be maintained, dikembngkan. Practiced, preserved for future generations, in the fight for and maintained by the willingness to sacrifice.
